Every year, Opportunity Bank Serbia (OBS) organizes internal competition for its female clients – entrepreneurs entitled „5 out of 5“ as a way to emphasize the importance of women entrepreneurship and extend support to all female entrepreneurs in Serbia who had enough courage to start and run their own small businesses. As reported by the World Bank, the ‘state job’ still tops entrepreneurial spirit in Serbia and this becomes even more obvious in case of women, where share of female entrepreneurs in Serbia today is only 34%.

We know that being a businesswoman in Serbia is not easy – sometimes women need superpowers in order to balance family and business obligations and run both household and company with equal amount of energy and stamina. Besides running their businesses, female entrepreneurs play other roles as well: they are wives, mothers, grandmothers, good friends and many more. They find support in their families and friends, and in case of OBS clients – they know they can always count on Opportunity Bank if they need a financial boost for their businesses.

We have been transforming the competition over the years, but this year the Bank decided to upgrade it and make it even more interesting and useful for both the competition participants and the public.

As of April, all female entrepreneurs – loan clients of OBS will be eligible to participate in the competition by presenting their small business at a special web site that OBS will create for these purposes. They will be able to upload a photo, include a description of their business but also present their entrepreneurial journeys as well as themselves. The competition will be open until end of September and in October, public voting will open for all followers of OBS official Facebook page. Five winners with most votes will be awarded with 50,000 RSD each and the title of Best Female Entrepreneur of Opportunity Bank in 2019.

Follow our web page as well as our Facebook page in order to keep up to date with the competition. We also use this opportunity to say Happy International Women’s Day to all the women around the world!
